This role involves designing scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines for petabyte-scale Identity logs and metrics. You will work closely with Applied Scientists to translate research prototypes into production systems, ensuring reliability and performance. The position offers a unique opportunity to impact the evolution of AWS Identity services and deliver insights that affect millions of customers globally.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture and optimization techniques
  • Experience developing, deploying and managing AI products at scale

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate scalable data ingestion, transformation, and loading pipelines for Identity logs and metrics.
  • Own the productionization lifecycle for ML models developed by the Applied Scientist, ensuring reliability and scalability.
  • Build and maintain the feature engineering infrastructure for transforming raw Identity data into structured datasets.
  • Drive platform resilience and operational excellence through robust monitoring and automation.
  • Partner with Applied Scientists and product managers to understand analytical requirements and design supporting data models.
  • Identify and build onboarding capabilities for new Identity service teams to integrate their data into the platform.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
