Job description

The Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) at Amazon will oversee the Supplier Quality Program and support supplier sourcing for the Logistics Automation program. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in Supplier Quality Management and the integrated automation project life cycle. The QAE will collaborate with various functional teams to ensure high-quality products from suppliers while maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 standards. The Manufacturing Quality & Standards team focuses on driving supplier quality excellence and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments, including root cause analysis and corrective action management methodologies
  • ISO 9001:2015 Certified Internal Auditor with experience conducting process-based quality audits
  • Experience with MHE systems in a fulfillment, logistics, or last-mile environment
  • Proficiency in a scripting or data analysis language to support quality data analysis
  • Experience developing or contributing to supplier quality manuals or standardized work instructions

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of best practices quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance.
  • Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues.
  • Carry out supplier validation qualification and audits in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Monitor supplier quality analysis and corrective actions process of supplier quality issues.
  • Develop and implement supplier risk management strategies.
  • Investigate and support the resolution of supplier quality-related complaints.
  • Support new product launches to ensure suppliers can deliver to the required quality standards.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices and future trends.
