Job description

The AWS Threat Research Team is seeking a passionate Security Engineer with expertise in application and network security. This role involves researching threats and delivering actionable threat indicators to protect large-scale applications. The team focuses on producing threat intelligence that enhances AWS security services. Candidates will work in a collaborative environment, addressing complex security challenges while fostering diversity and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of IT Security experience.
  • Strong proficiency in malware reverse engineering and analysis.
  • Solid foundation in web application security and vulnerability mitigation.
  • Experience in threat hunting and crafting detection rules across SIEM platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of network security, DDoS mitigation, and botnet research.
  • Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.

Responsibilities
