The AWS Threat Research Team is seeking a passionate Security Engineer with expertise in application and network security. This role involves researching threats and delivering actionable threat indicators to protect large-scale applications. The team focuses on producing threat intelligence that enhances AWS security services. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of IT Security experience.
- Strong proficiency in malware reverse engineering and analysis.
- Solid foundation in web application security and vulnerability mitigation.
- Experience in threat hunting and crafting detection rules across SIEM platforms.
- Comprehensive understanding of network security, DDoS mitigation, and botnet research.
- Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.
Responsibilities
