Job description
The Signal Integrity and Power Integrity Engineer role at Amazon Leo focuses on developing and validating high-speed, low-latency satellite broadband solutions for government customers. The engineer will work within a team to ensure high technical standards for hardware designs, conducting simulations and analyses to meet customer requirements. This position requires collaboration with other engineers and participation in design reviews, emphasizing innovative solutions in satellite and ground system design. The successful candidate will lead tasks related to circuit validation and support the preparation of technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience analyzing high-speed Signal and Power Integrity (SI/PI)
- Experience in PCB level signal and power integrity analysis of complex high-density board stack-ups
- Strong technical background in simulating and analyzing electronic circuits including Analog Power, Digital Design, and Mixed-Signal ADC/DAC
- Hands-on experience using EM SIPI simulation tools such as ANSYS, ADS, and Hyperlynx
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI
Responsibilities
- Develop SI/PI collateral supporting system integration of advanced technology
- Define and develop Signal and Power Integrity test methodologies
- Participate in design reviews and perform SI and PI simulations
- Deliver well-written documentation, reports, and presentations for technical design reviews
- Interact directly with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into solutions
- Facilitate cost trades on multiple parallel board configurations for cost versus performance
