Job description

This role offers an opportunity to join Amazon's technical team in Herndon, VA, focusing on building and maintaining large distributed systems. The successful candidate will work closely with demanding customers to address their needs across a suite of services. Requirements

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
  • Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification
  • Strong Linux and networking fundamentals
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Java, or Ruby
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems

Responsibilities

  • Work with Amazon's largest customers to address specific needs across a full suite of services
  • Engage in deep-dive troubleshooting and conduct technical post-mortem discussions
  • Build and deploy solutions across thousands of devices
  • Improve and streamline processes for large-scale operations
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical managers to enhance customer experience
