Job description

The role involves supporting the Facility Operations Center at Amazon, which is responsible for 24/7 monitoring of data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will assist onsite operations teams to ensure optimal customer experience through reliability and attention to detail. This position requires a basic understanding of infrastructure and proficient computer and communication skills. The team plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and operational excellence across AWS data centers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of technical support experience or a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of customer-facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Experience documenting technical customer issues.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • 3+ years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Respond, acknowledge, investigate, and dispatch critical alarms.
  • Monitor the facility infrastructure platform.
  • Perform change management tasks.
  • Create and issue tickets.
  • Follow verbal and written directions.
  • Maintain an intermediate level of understanding of critical infrastructure.
  • Work required shift-work, overtime, and/or rotating schedules to support a 24X7 environment.
