The Design Verification Engineer will be a key member of Amazon Leo's Government team, focusing on delivering innovative satellite and ground system design solutions. This role involves leading design verification efforts for communication and control electronics sub-systems. The engineer will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and ensure proposed solutions meet their goals. The position requires collaboration across teams and the ability to prepare clear and compelling reports.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 4+ years experience designing and building electronics test racks for board level testing of aerospace and space based product designs.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.
Responsibilities
- Interact directly with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into robust solutions.
- Verify and validate electrical circuit designs for sensitive RF and communications payloads.
- Document test plans, procedures, and reports including Design Verification, Qualification, and Acceptance Tests.
- Facilitate cost trades on multiple test configurations for cost/manufacturability versus test uncertainty.
- Deliver well-written documentation and presentations for technical design reviews and proposals.
- Design and support test campaigns for space hardware.
