Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Process Engineering team, focusing on the next generation of AMZL delivery stations. This role involves managing a product roadmap and driving end-to-end product delivery from inception to execution. The ideal candidate will influence senior leaders across various organizations and manage complex initiatives while advocating for customer needs. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
- 6+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of manufacturing equipment development experience
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360
- Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field is preferred
- Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing methodologies
- Experience using MS Project, MS Office, and MS SharePoint
- Experience designing complex systems for automation in logistics or manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Initiate, define, plan, and manage the rollout of product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations.
- Work closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech, and Operations to build impactful products.
- Identify new programs to onboard and integrate into the delivery process.
- Lead execution of the product with a high level of discipline and engagement with product development teams.
- Present concepts, designs, program updates, and roadmaps to senior leadership on a frequent basis.
- Hold partner teams accountable for the delivery of the project roadmap and meet defined milestones.
- Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Organization.
- Travel up to 30% based on business needs.
