Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- High level of proficiency with C/C++ and Python
- Hands-on system experience with Linux, including device drivers and multicore systems
- Experience with embedded or real-time operating systems such as Free RTOS, RT Linux, or Micrium
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience developing safety certified systems, especially with IEC 61508
- Exposure to networking, communications systems, and data security
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain novel robotic systems
- Contribute to the architectural design of complex systems and collaborate with peers to find solutions
- Provide valuable feedback during peer reviews and communicate effectively with technical leadership
- Engineer solutions that balance performance and reliability
- Master various components including networking, security, navigation, and sensors
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and debug complex robotic systems
- Participate in design discussions and brainstorm novel approaches to robotics problems
- Write automated tests to validate new features and conduct live testing to debug issues
