Job description

The Senior FPGA Development Engineer at AWS will focus on developing high-speed digital logic using advanced FPGAs. This role is part of a cross-functional team dedicated to creating scalable FPGA systems within the AWS technology ecosystem. Candidates must possess a US Government Security Clearance and have extensive experience in RTL development and programmable logic.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • 7+ years of non-internship professional RTL development experience
  • 3+ years developing programmable logic in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA SOCs
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom RTL and integrate with third-party libraries to build end-to-end 100G+ solutions.
  • Collaborate with design and system engineers to perform tradeoffs and architect new solutions for customers.
  • Own the interface between software and hardware by developing drivers and providing software examples.
  • Lead in design meetings to plan development and review peer designs.
  • Help identify new opportunities and new technologies to improve the customer experience and add features.
