Job description

The role is focused on contributing to the design and development of Amazon Aurora DSQL, a revolutionary distributed SQL database technology. The Control Plane team is responsible for managing heat distribution and ensuring quick responses for scalability. Candidates will apply their expertise in distributed systems architecture and design principles to solve complex problems. The team primarily develops in Rust and utilizes the Amazon Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for defining cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Experience in debugging, profiling, and implementing software engineering best practices in large-scale systems
