The ECAD Tools Application Engineer will provide stable and reliable Electrical Computer Aided Design (ECAD) tools and database management for electrical engineering design, layout, and simulation engineers. This role involves anticipating tool needs, supporting users, and developing processes for the rapid development of a low Earth orbit satellite constellation. The ECAD team focuses on supporting tools and infrastructure for Electrical Engineering, PCB Design, and Library Management. The engineer will also work on automating processes and researching new technologies to enhance productivity.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent.
• Experience as an Application Engineer for one or more CAD tools such as Mentor Xpedition, Cadence Allegro, or Altium Designer.
• Experience with frontend design tools and backend ECAD library/design database.
• Enterprise Tool administration experience including debugging and solving client and server-side application issues.
• Experience in developing and documenting engineering processes related to ECAD tools.
• Experience in Electrical Engineering design.
• Experience automating ECAD workflows and processes.
• Experience providing support for engineering applications such as Hyperlynx, Ansys, and Reliance.
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers, including scripting and server management.
• Understanding of network fundamentals including switching and routing.
• Experience with flexlm license servers and user management with LDAP and SAML.
• Experience architecting AWS infrastructure.
