Job description
As a Software Development Engineer at Ring, you will be responsible for defining, building, and supporting the system design and software for IoT products. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to gather requirements and implement new features. The role involves contributing to all aspects of the software development life cycle, including design, development, and testing. You will be part of a passionate team focused on delivering innovative security solutions to reduce crime in neighborhoods.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience in embedded development in C/C++
- Knowledge of machine learning model architecture and inference
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
Responsibilities
- Dive deep to help solve critical design issues involving algorithms and IoT interfaces.
- Participate in design reviews for complex embedded systems and software development.
- Influence team and partner teams to drive the technical implementation of system designs.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team agility.
- Define and refine system requirements for interoperability-related features.
- Develop embedded software in C/C++.
