This role involves developing state-of-the-art device management infrastructure as part of the AWS Networking Services team. The focus is on building developer-friendly APIs and infrastructure to manage Amazon's global network infrastructure. You will work on modernizing legacy systems and ensuring high standards of security and reliability. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement highly scalable, distributed systems for network infrastructure management.
- Design and implement core management API infrastructure including SDK libraries in Rust, Python, and Java.
- Build model-driven APIs that enable seamless integration for component teams.
- Develop asynchronous execution infrastructure supporting long-running operations and callbacks.
- Create certificate management and device identity systems for secure authentication.
- Implement observability infrastructure including structured logging and distributed tracing.
- Partner with security teams to implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Optimize system performance to support high-volume operations at AWS scale.
- Drive architectural decisions that will scale systems from experimental to production-ready infrastructure.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design reviews across the team.
