The EPMS Controls Design Engineer will join the Controls Design Engineering team within AWS Infrastructure Services, focusing on enhancing global data center design standards related to control, automation, and electrical power monitoring systems. This role involves collaboration with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure safety and security while optimizing costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center environmental controls, IT infrastructure, and project management. This position offers the opportunity to drive innovation and contribute to sophisticated building controls and automation initiatives.

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• 3+ years of experience in utilizing or generating electrical drawings and design engineering documents focused on data center or critical environment projects.
• 3+ years of experience in designing or contributing to the design of controls and monitoring solution projects.
• 1+ year of project management experience focused on data center or critical environment projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related engineering degrees.

• Knowledge of EPMS programming and design, Modbus communication protocol, and electrical distribution systems.
• Review MEP drawings with a focus on electrical drawing sets for EPMS design content.
• Create EPMS scopes of work, provide RFI support, and review technical vendor proposals during the bid review process.
• Coordinate with each regional project manager to review and finalize project scopes of work.
• Attend Factory Witness Tests and Equipment Qualification Tests to perform EPMS point validation.
• Create, update, and maintain controls points list and specifications, EPMS drawing templates, and project-specific documents.
• Lead and facilitate collaboration with multiple teams to accomplish initiative goals.
• Serve as the central point of contact for multiple internal and external groups regarding EPMS design standards.
• Drive innovation of new solutions to support initiatives and company goals.
• Travel globally as needed to manage and support project initiatives.
