The Senior Data Center Engineer, Electrical Engineering role at Google focuses on the design and management of electrical systems within mission-critical facilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
  • 6 years of experience in bidding, designing, operating, and commissioning electrical distribution systems.
  • 6 years of experience with mission-critical facilities, focusing on multi-tenant data center facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical evaluations and due diligence of market available multi-tenant facilities for the deployment of Google services.
  • Manage power system challenges across the project lifecycle, from concept design to commissioning on site.
  • Identify and resolve issues raised by cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate data center designs based on program requirements and identify potential single points of failure.
