Job description
The Controls System Engineer role at Amazon Fulfillment Technologies focuses on developing next-generation Industrial Control System platforms and automation solutions. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of industry work experience
- Experience in PLC based controls design, development, implementation and support
- Experience using Linux, demonstrating proficiency with associated tools or languages
- Experience with creating automated alarms, reports and KPI metrics for plant management
- Experience in Industrial networking and communications
- Knowledge of modern programming languages including Rust, Java, and C/C++
- Master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering, or 1+ years of professional or military experience
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience working with and managing third party vendors
- 2+ years of programmable logic controls (PLC) programs experience
Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions involving robotics, data management and precision conveyance
- Participate in large-scale control engineering projects supporting global deployments of equipment
- Drive key aspects of product definition, execution and testing
- Collaborate closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team and outside partners
