Job description
Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to lead the integration of hardware and software within drone delivery operations. This role focuses on certifying safety-critical software and hardware while collaborating with design engineering teams. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement in drone software design and ensure compliance with development standards. Strong communication skills are essential for translating complex system functions to stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
- Experience as a technical lead, systems engineer, or technical program manager with significant experience in complex systems
- Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems
- Experience with Systems Design Lifecycle artifacts and reviews such as Systems Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Ready Reviews (TRR)
Responsibilities
- Oversee software development, verification, configuration management, and quality assurance to ensure compliance to Design Assurance Levels and software development standards.
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, presenting strategies and results to senior leadership and operational partners.
