Job description
The Staff Data Center Mechanical Engineer role at Google focuses on managing mechanical engineering for complex industrial mission-critical facilities. The position is part of the Data Center Development Pre-Construction team, which is responsible for leading mechanical strategies and ensuring high-performance infrastructure delivery. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical infrastructure.
- 5 years of experience in engineering analysis, design, and construction for mission-critical facility mechanical infrastructure systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all mechanical, fire suppression, and plumbing system issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive pre-construction strategy by collaborating with the core team to develop Data Center mechanical designs.
- Generate comprehensive scopes of work for equipment portions of major infrastructure upgrades.
- Facilitate cross-discipline collaboration with control systems and electrical teams.
