Job description

The role involves joining the AWS Network Products Development team as a hardware engineering professional focused on designing next-generation Ethernet switching platforms for data centers. The candidate will work with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure high standards of safety and security while delivering innovative solutions. Requirements

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in hardware board and systems development, with a proven track record of taking products from concept to mass production.
  • 5+ years of recent experience with Ethernet switching fabrics, Ethernet PHY and SerDes interfaces, and embedded CPU subsystems.
  • Experience in high-speed digital design as a design lead in the networking field.
  • Experience with CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop next-generation Ethernet switching platforms.
  • Collaborate with PCB designers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.
  • Define and design modular chassis-based products with system redundancy and environmental control.
  • Conduct simulation, timing analysis, thermal analysis, and EMC testing.
  • Interface with Asian ODM and JDM partners during development and manufacturing.
