The role involves joining the AWS Network Products Development team as a hardware engineering professional focused on designing next-generation Ethernet switching platforms for data centers. Requirements
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in hardware board and systems development, with a proven track record of taking products from concept to mass production.
- 5+ years of recent experience with Ethernet switching fabrics, Ethernet PHY and SerDes interfaces, and embedded CPU subsystems.
- Experience in high-speed digital design as a design lead in the networking field.
- Experience with CPLD/FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop next-generation Ethernet switching platforms.
- Collaborate with PCB designers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.
- Define and design modular chassis-based products with system redundancy and environmental control.
- Conduct simulation, timing analysis, thermal analysis, and EMC testing.
- Interface with Asian ODM and JDM partners during development and manufacturing.
