This role involves working with AWS technologies to address complex distributed systems challenges and improve customer interactions with Ring devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development and experience with large-scale cloud systems.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related occupation
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

• Shape the definition, vision, design, roadmap, and development of core services at Ring
• Design, architect, implement, and operate large-scale cloud systems
• Deliver the technical direction of services and the feature roadmap autonomously
• Leverage modern AI-powered development tools to accelerate development and improve code quality
• Promote robust and maintainable code with clear documentation
• Communicate proactively and provide technical leadership within the team
• Explore and adopt emerging AI tools and technologies to enhance engineering workflows
