Job description

The Software Engineer Manager II for Engineering Productivity at Google is responsible for leading a team of engineers while managing project goals and contributing to product strategy. This role requires both technical expertise and leadership skills to optimize code and ensure team effectiveness. The position involves overseeing large-scale projects across multiple sites and guiding the development of innovative technologies. The manager will work within the Platforms and Devices team, focusing on enhancing user interactions with computing through advanced software solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development and 3 years of experience building developer tools.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role and 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Experience in data warehouse design and data analysis.
  • Experience in Android OS.
  • Experience in SQL.
