Job description

This role involves designing and implementing energy-efficient mechanical systems for next-generation data centers within the AWS Infrastructure Services team. The team is composed of diverse professionals including engineers and supply chain specialists, all focused on optimizing data center operations while ensuring sustainability. Candidates will engage in innovative engineering challenges and collaborate with various teams to enhance safety and security standards. The position emphasizes continuous improvement and environmental impact in data center infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
  • 4+ years of commissioning experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360.
  • Understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and CFD Analysis.
  • Knowledge of building management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement energy-efficient mechanical systems for next-generation data centers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
  • Oversee project lifecycle from conception through implementation, including budget management.
