Job description
As a Hardware Development Engineer at Amazon Lab126, you will design innovative consumer electronics that connect people in new ways. You will work within a collaborative team of engineers to tackle complex technical challenges and contribute to the entire product lifecycle from concept to production. The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration, integrating various technologies to create high-performance products. You will also support global engineering initiatives and may require international travel.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hardware design and validation experience of components, subsystems, and systems.
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in motherboard design and PCB design including schematic capture, stackup, and circuit board layout.
- Experience with analog, digital, and high-speed circuit design.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in system-level integration including audio, power, battery management, RF, and ESD.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
- Experience with project management of technical projects.
- Experience scripting for automation using languages such as Python, Perl, or Ruby.
Responsibilities
- Design complex electrical systems involving schematic design and layout using ECAD tools.
- Lead system-level engineering efforts by integrating multiple technological components into cohesive products.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to develop innovative solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve intricate design and manufacturing issues with precision.
- Design, test, and validate system boards to ensure exceptional product quality and performance.
- Contribute to international engineering builds and support global product development efforts.
