Twitch is seeking a Full Stack, Junior Software Engineer to join the Safety Products team, which focuses on safety-related features for users. This role involves working on moderation tools and safety products at both the site and channel levels. The position is based at Twitch headquarters in San Francisco, CA, and emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional partners. Candidates will engage in the full software development cycle while contributing to a supportive community.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent real-world experience.
  • Working knowledge of modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and excellent understanding of computer science concepts.
  • Familiarity with Twitch's tech stack including Golang, Typescript/React, iOS, and Android.
  • Experience with AWS technologies like ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, and Step Functions.

Responsibilities

  • Learn about and contribute to the tech stack, including back and front end, mobile, data, and infrastructure.
  • Own and maintain parts of the user experience that support moderation features and global safety products.
  • Engage with the full software development cycle, including coding, documentation, testing, and timely delivery of software components.
  • Work independently while collaborating with a team of cross-functional partners, including Product Managers and UX designers.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
