As an SDE in Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3), you will tackle complex technical challenges at an unprecedented scale, managing trillions of objects while ensuring high data durability. You will work with a team of skilled engineers to design and implement new components that enhance the S3 service. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Build the services that persist and retrieve customer data in S3.
• Design and implement new components and improvements to existing services.
• Collaborate with other engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in a regular on-call rotation to support the S3 service.
• Write code and solve problems at scale, including delivering features and fixing bugs.
• Add testing to existing code and improve operational tooling.
