Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in aerospace, engineering, mathematics, or a related field
- 8+ years of professional development experience in a DO-178C environment
- Familiarity with at least one software language such as C++
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in professional software development
- Experience leading teams that deliver DO-178C certified software
Responsibilities
- Develop optimal certification strategy tailored to Prime Air's unique drone delivery system
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies that demonstrate compliance with safety and performance requirements
- Bridge engineering teams, quality assurance, program management, and certification authorities on certification strategy
- Ensure development processes and documentation meet regulatory requirements and prepare for certification audits
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
- Collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs while communicating with users and other technical teams
- Manage ambiguity, prioritize needs, and deliver measurable results in an agile environment
