The Microsoft Security Organization is seeking Software Engineers at Senior and Principal levels to join the AI for Security team within the Microsoft Threat Protection organization. This team focuses on building intelligent security systems that leverage advanced AI models and tools to enhance threat detection and response. The role involves designing user experiences that integrate reasoning and feedback into security operations. Candidates will contribute to creating AI-powered solutions used by millions globally.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience building modern front end and/or full stack applications in production environments.
• Experience developing user-facing web applications using modern front end frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar.

• Design and build AI driven security product experiences powered by large language models and multimodal models.
• Develop scalable full stack solutions that enable AI native workflows across threat detection, triage, investigation, and incident response.
• Partner across engineering, product management, and design teams to create intuitive user experiences for AI powered security systems.
• Translate complex security workflows into user-centric AI optimized interfaces.
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI native experiences within live production environments.
• Collaborate with backend AI platform teams to integrate reasoning systems into user experiences.
• Shape the long term technical direction of AI driven user interaction paradigms.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence across cross-disciplinary teams.
