As a Controls Colo Engineer at AWS, you will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure the operational efficiency and design integrity of colocation data centers. Your role will involve identifying and resolving operational deficiencies while providing full life-cycle support from design inception to maintenance. You will work closely with internal teams and colocation vendors to uphold AWS standards for safety and security. This position emphasizes innovation and the ability to adapt to evolving customer needs in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities including data centers.
- 4+ years of commissioning experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer License.
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
Responsibilities
- Work with the control team to develop and implement standards for colocation data centers.
- Perform design and equipment submittal reviews for new colocation data centers.
- Identify risks within Building Management Systems and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems.
- Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis for site/equipment failures.
- Conduct site audits of colocation data centers and produce risk reports.
