Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to join the Infrastructure Operations team, focusing on building and scaling Amazon Dedicated Cloud regions. The role involves driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation networks while automating and enhancing network systems. Engineers will collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards in network management.
Requirements
- The candidate must be a US citizen with an active Top Secret security clearance and SCI eligibility.
- A minimum of 3 years of vendor management experience is required.
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience in a data center or critical environment is necessary.
- Experience in construction or project management is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Clearly communicate project status and blockers to leadership and project management.
- Perform device build and cabling validation activities.
- Manage cabling vendor activities and perform quality assurance activities.
- Support Network Engineering deployment activities during scheduled change management windows.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues.
- Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Travel within the geographical work area is required, with up to 40% travel outside the traditional work area.
