This role involves working as a technical leader within the AWS Hardware Engineering team, focusing on building the backbone of Generative AI cloud at AWS. The team is responsible for designing, delivering, and operating AWS cloud offerings that enable high performance and scalability in AI/ML and HPC workloads. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the full technical stack and will be involved in creating automation solutions that enhance productivity. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact AWS's bottom line and contribute to next-generation cloud technologies.
Requirements
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
- 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking, storage, and operating systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
Responsibilities
- Solve complex architectural problems and proactively identify deficiencies in systems.
- Write tactical code to address issues before they impact customers.
- Decompose large server system problems into manageable tasks and lead their delivery.
- Develop smart automation solutions and implement AI-driven tools and workflows.
- Collaborate with various job roles and groups through server conception, testing, launch, and operations.
