Job description

The role is focused on developing innovative battery solutions within Apple's Battery Engineering group. The team is responsible for creating high-energy and reliable embedded battery systems that integrate seamlessly into various products. Collaboration with multiple product development teams is essential to push the boundaries of battery technology. The position requires a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in 3D CAD design.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with 3D CAD.
  • 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent job-related experience in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes and/or automation is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Generate innovative designs with multi-functional teams, including detailed written specifications, drawings, and tolerance analyses.
  • Participate in the development of manufacturing processes with multi-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Act as a product development technical liaison among vendors.
  • Communicate technical status of projects cross-functionally, including throughout the management structure.
  • Complete tasks necessary to deliver product timelines.
