Job description
Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Environmental Engineer to join their Resilience Environment team in Sacramento, CA, starting in May/June 2026. The role focuses on improving quality of life through environmental assessment and remediation projects. Candidates will work alongside Senior Scientists and Project Managers, contributing to diverse projects for both the US Federal Government and industrial clients. This position involves field investigations, sampling activities, and supporting emergency response teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field
- Strong organizational and team building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Focus on health and safety
Responsibilities
- Participate in field investigations and sampling activities
- Provide program support for a diverse portfolio of projects
- Oversee operation and maintenance of remediation systems
- Conduct soil and groundwater investigations and sample collection
- Engage in effective communication with clients and stakeholders
- Prepare engineering designs, permit applications, and construction-related documents
- Support emergency response teams for unforeseen incidents
- Travel regionally for fieldwork and project needs
