Job description

The Wireless System Engineer at Apple will be part of a dynamic team focused on crafting innovative wireless SoC products. This role involves system integration and characterization, ensuring that Apple products exceed customer expectations. The engineer will engage in the bringup and integration of PHY/Radio systems, utilizing their expertise in communication theory and radio calibration algorithms. Requirements

  • BS degree with a minimum of 3-10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in RF/PHY systems, signal processing, and communication theory.
  • Preferred MSEE or Ph.D. degree with relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of existing wireless communication protocols such as 802.11 and LTE.
  • Experience with radio calibration algorithms and system bring-up.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and characterize state-of-the-art wireless SoC products.
  • Engage with first silicon arrivals to bring up and debug PHY and radio systems.
  • Optimize performance and debug issues using communication theory and calibration algorithms.
  • Utilize test equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Develop test automation including equipment drivers and reporting tools.
