Job description

The Wireless System Engineer at Apple will be part of a dynamic Wireless Connectivity team focused on developing innovative products that enhance user experiences. This role involves integrating, bringing up, and tuning physical layer/RF systems for next-generation wireless SoCs from pre-silicon to product launch. The engineer will collaborate with various teams, including PHY algorithms, RF design, and firmware, to ensure optimal wireless performance. Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Hands-on experience in wireless system design, integration, or bring-up is essential.
  • Strong fundamentals in signal processing, communication theory, and OFDM systems are necessary.
  • Preferred qualifications include a BSEE/MSEE and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in using lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators is required.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Matlab, Python, Shell scripting, or C/C++ is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and tune physical layer/RF systems for next-generation wireless SoCs.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Debug and bring up wireless PHY and RF systems on SoC platforms.
  • Evaluate and mitigate analog/RF impairments affecting system performance.
  • Develop automation infrastructure for traceability and repeatability in testing.
