Job description

The Engineering Program Manager will join the Data Platform team at Apple Services Engineering, focusing on driving the planning, execution, and delivery of data engineering and analytics solutions. This role involves collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and product managers to ensure high-quality data products and services. The manager will oversee complex projects related to data ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery, while also driving the adoption of the data platform. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering program management, with a focus on data engineering and/or analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or Asana.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Superset, or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of data engineering and analytics solutions.
