The CAD engineer will join the Vision Products Group Product Design team at Apple, focusing on designing cutting-edge consumer electronics with complex surfaces. This role involves collaborating closely with the Product Design Engineering Team and bridging the gap between Industrial Design and Product Design. The engineer will enhance the team's CAD capabilities through advanced surfacing and tool development. The position is pivotal in executing the exciting roadmap of innovative products.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years of hands-on, detailed product design and CAD experience
• Excellent NX CAD knowledge and experience, including use of advanced tools and features
• Excellent CAD surfacing and sculpting skills
• GD&T knowledge and experience releasing 2D drawings
• Experience with vendor FAI/CPK dimensional reports
• Wide knowledge of basic engineering materials and manufacturing processes
• Consumer electronics knowledge in areas such as cameras, sensors, PCBs, silicon, antennas, and batteries
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written presentations
• Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is preferred
• Knowledge of specialist CAD surfacing software such as Alias or Rhino
• PLM / Agile / Teamcenter knowledge is a plus
• Experience collaborating with high-volume Asian manufacturing manufacturers

• Work closely with the Product Design Engineering Team in 3D and 2D CAD.
• Provide support in advanced CAD surfacing and develop novel CAD tools and processes.
• Collaborate with the Industrial Design team to bridge the gap with the Product Design team.
• Enhance the CAD capability of the entire team.
• Contribute to the design, building, and execution of innovative consumer electronics products.
