Job description
As a Senior Software Data Engineer on the App Store Data team, you will be instrumental in enhancing the user and developer experience through data-driven insights. This role focuses on building compliance-critical data products and analytical solutions that adhere to privacy regulations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to inform strategic decisions and drive innovation within the App Store. Your expertise in data engineering and analytics will be crucial in shaping the future of Apple's app marketplace.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building production grade distributed data pipelines and data systems.
- Strong programming skills in Scala or Java, proficient in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark/Flink, Kafka, Airflow, Iceberg, Trino, and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a Quantitative discipline.
- Experience with ML-based or statistical anomaly detection.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Superset and Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of compliance-critical data products.
- Develop scalable self-service data products and analytics engineering solutions.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and implement ML-driven data observability.
- Capture cross-functional requirements and translate them into practical data analysis solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Legal, and Privacy.
