  • 8+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, shipping, and maintaining high-scale, high-performance cloud-based distributed systems.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience implementing and/or managing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java and one of C++/Rust/Swift/Go/Python/TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of relational, NewSQL, and NoSQL databases, as well as data modeling and engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, develop, test, document, improve, and maintain infrastructure and code.
  • Own every aspect of projects from strategy and planning to system architecture and implementation.
  • Collaboratively lead the design and implementation of solutions for diverse Retail Engineering teams.
  • Set architectural precedents that could extend beyond Retail Engineering.
  • Mentor junior, senior, and staff level software engineers.
  • Guide engineers through their career growth journeys.

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage.
