Job description

Join Apple's Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems team to innovate and integrate cellular technologies that enhance user experiences. As part of a dedicated team, you will develop sophisticated embedded software for cellular chipsets in Apple products. This role focuses on pushing the boundaries of wireless systems and improving connectivity for users worldwide. You will be a key member of the Cellular Layer1 Control Software team, working on groundbreaking cellular technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in software engineering principles using C and/or C++.
  • Working knowledge of computer architecture with emphasis on HW/SW interfaces of high-speed communication subsystems.
  • In-depth hands-on experience with real-time, embedded cellular 3G/4G/5G PHY L1 Software/Firmware.
  • Strong knowledge of embedded real-time control, advanced digital signal processing (DSP), and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop core cellular technologies that solve everyday problems for customers.
  • Collaborate with product development groups across Apple to innovate new cellular technologies.
  • Craft sophisticated embedded software that delivers enhanced performance in Apple products.
  • Debug embedded software systems using system simulators, spectrum analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
  • Participate in silicon prototyping, emulation systems, and virtual platforms.
