The NPI PM role at Apple is focused on leading the team within WW Operations and serving as the primary operations interface to the core product development team. This position is responsible for ensuring the successful launch of products while meeting cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience goals. The NPI PM will work closely with various internal and external teams to drive responsive supply chains and manage risks effectively. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with management and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
- Experience working with off-shore manufacturers and traveling to manufacturing sites
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to management
- Extraordinary ability to build relationships
- Clear and consistent communication
- Ability to use data to drive decisions and take action
- Enthusiastic and motivated with a high level of detail
- Technical expertise and prior OEM management experience
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus
Responsibilities
- Lead ramp availability for all product modules with Materials, Quality, Engineering, and other internal and external teams.
- Ensure security, materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training, and documentation plans are in place at partners.
- Drive responsive supply chains that optimize lowest costs, operational flexibility, and high quality.
- Assess, analyze, consolidate, and communicate risk and status clearly to management.
- Provide links from the Ops and Engineering Teams to the Factory teams throughout new product introduction.
- Be willing to travel internationally up to 20-25%.
