Job description
The Graphics, Gaming & Machine Learning (GGML) team at Apple is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead the planning and execution of scalable machine learning infrastructure. This role involves coordinating across engineering teams to deliver high-performance ML systems in cloud and distributed environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The position emphasizes collaboration, ownership, and the ability to manage complex technologies effectively.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of program management experience in software, hardware, or systems engineering environments.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to align teams around architecture, milestones, and execution plans.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Prior PM or engineering experience in AI/ML model training, high-performance distributed computing, or inference optimization technologies.
- Experience with silicon acceleration and compute frameworks.
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Background in CPU, GPU, or exposure to display technologies is a strong plus.
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and ML frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and cross-functional coordination across engineering teams.
- Define and run processes to ensure timely delivery of GPU, compute, and data infrastructure components.
- Partner with teams across Apple to deliver ambitious AI/ML capabilities on scalable distributed systems.
- Ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency of ML pipelines and services.
- Drive graphics/compute API and software/hardware feature development lifecycles from concept through launch.
