Job description
Join Apple's wireless silicon development team, which focuses on creating highly energy-efficient designs and innovative technologies that enhance user experiences. The team is responsible for all aspects of wireless silicon development, including RF/Analog architecture, VLSI/RTL design, and firmware engineering. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating across various functional areas. Candidates who thrive under pressure and enjoy teamwork are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of industry experience.
- Skilled in defining ASIC microarchitecture to meet functional requirements while managing performance, power, and area trade-offs.
- Knowledgeable about the ASIC design flow, including System Verilog RTL implementation, Lint, CDC, RDC, Synthesis, and STA.
- Expertise in design domains such as memory subsystems, bus interfaces, CPU integration, and high-speed/low-speed peripherals.
- Thorough understanding of cross clock-domain design principles and associated CDC requirements.
- Familiarity with ASIC low power design techniques and test methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Responsibilities
- Develop microarchitecture and RTL for a System-on-Chip (SoC) IP design.
- Engage in hardware/software partitioning discussions with software and firmware teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful SoC integration.
- Support design verification and validation across all phases from concept to silicon bring-up.
- Work closely with physical design, DFT, and CAD teams to optimize performance, power, and area targets.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage.
