Job description
As a GNSS Measurement Engine Firmware Engineer, you will be an integral part of Apple's Cellular SoC team, focusing on the design and development of highly energy-efficient GNSS receiver technology. You will work within a vertically coordinated engineering team that spans various disciplines including RF, mixed-signal analog design, and software engineering. Your role will involve defining firmware architecture and developing software for ultra-low-power GNSS systems. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- 10 years of embedded software development experience using C, C++, and scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python.
- 5 years of product development experience in wireless communication, GNSS, or a related industry.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Geomatics is preferred.
- Familiarity with microprocessors such as ARM, RTOS, and driver development for PHY hardware and peripherals.
Responsibilities
- Define firmware architecture and document the firmware design.
- Develop, test, and integrate infrastructure software and digital signal processing software.
- Perform low-level driver development and hardware bring-up.
- Implement diagnostics, manufacturing tests, and protocol compliance test software.
- Develop GNSS measurement engine features such as acquisition, tracking, and jamming mitigation.
