The Vision Products Team at Apple is seeking a high-energy Hardware Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to lead hardware product development and guide cross-functional engineering teams. This role focuses on coordinating the release of designs for hardware subsystems and ensuring that engineering development schedules are met. The EPM will work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers while also managing relationships with vendors and contract manufacturers. The position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is willing to travel internationally to support engineering builds.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience in consumer electronics
- Strong technical background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering
- Proven track record of managing complex hardware product schedules and engineering builds
- Experience with camera systems, display and optics technologies, and/or wearable consumer electronics
- Program or project management experience
Responsibilities
- Own and track engineering development schedules for hardware subsystems
- Plan and execute build events, including material planning and factory readiness
- Identify and prioritize project tasks and risks
- Serve as the primary point of contact with vendors and contract manufacturing partners
- Provide clear direction and guidance to meet program and build objectives
- Travel internationally to support engineering builds
