Job description

The Instrumentation and Test technology team is seeking a systems-thinking engineer to design and implement comprehensive test solutions for next-generation products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop test methodologies and instrumentation for system characterization and validation. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in test integration and implementation, with experience in either test software or instrumentation hardware design. The position requires hands-on experience and a solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals.

Requirements

  • BS degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience in programming languages like C/C++ or Python
  • End-to-end test design experience creating and documenting comprehensive test plans
  • Hands-on experience with electronics debugging tools
  • Ability to read schematics and layout and component data-sheets
  • Background in testing high-volume consumer electronics, particularly with Touch, Sensing, Display, or other complex user-facing technologies
  • Ability to perform and interpret statistical data analysis
  • Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies like Design of Experiments (DOE)

Responsibilities

  • Design comprehensive test strategies and methodologies for new product introduction and mass production.
  • Integrate measurement systems to support characterization and validation of products.
  • Develop and document high-level test plans and define test cases and coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop critical test methodologies.
  • Support manufacturing partners during key product builds through international travel.
