As a Software Engineering Author at Apple, you will work within the Developer Publications team to create engaging and educational content for developers. Your role involves collaborating with editors, engineers, and designers to produce clear documentation, sample code, and API references. You will help developers understand and utilize Apple's latest technologies effectively. This position requires a passion for learning and teaching, as well as strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience developing apps or writing code that uses Xcode and Swift or Objective-C
- Familiarity with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and an understanding of UX/UI design principles
- Familiarity with JavaScript and REST APIs is a plus
Responsibilities
- Explore how the latest software technologies work by discussing design principles and writing code that exercises new API.
- Research developer needs and craft plans to provide extraordinary educational content.
- Compose documents and code that teach highly technical concepts in an easily understood manner.
- Review new APIs for correctness, completeness, clarity, and ease of use.
- Attend and contribute to cross-functional meetings to ensure high-quality developer technologies and documentation.
- Develop engaging presentations for Apple's annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC).
