As a Software Data Engineer on the App Store Data team, you will leverage data to enhance the user and developer experience on the App Store. This role focuses on building compliance-critical data products and analytical solutions that drive business decisions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to inform strategic direction and high-impact initiatives. A strong commitment to privacy and regulatory requirements is essential in this position.

• 3+ years of experience building production data pipelines on distributed systems.
• Solid programming skills in Scala, Java, or Python and proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark/Flink, Kafka, Airflow, Iceberg, Trino, and Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of data modeling fundamentals and structured and unstructured data analysis.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a Quantitative discipline.
• Exposure to privacy, compliance, or governance data requirements.

• Build the design and delivery of compliance-critical data products.
• Develop pipelines and analytical outputs that meet regulatory and privacy requirements.
• Engage in analytics engineering and exploratory data analysis.
• Create scalable self-service data products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Legal, and Privacy.
