This role is part of the SOC Silicon Validation team within Apple's Silicon Technologies group, focusing on system-level validation of high-speed IO IP blocks. The team collaborates closely with various departments, including SiVal, FW, Architecture, and Design, to ensure the functionality and performance of next-generation processors and SoCs. The position involves defining validation plans, debugging SOC issues, and coordinating test execution. Candidates will contribute to delivering high-quality functional products that enhance user experiences across Apple devices.
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in silicon validation software engineering or a related field.
- Experience with embedded systems is required.
- Familiarity with SoC and system architecture.
- Knowledge and experience working with board schematics.
- Experience using test equipment and analyzers such as USB, PCIe, DP, and I2C.
- High knowledge and experience with high-speed interfaces including USB-PD, USB2.0, USB3.0, Thunderbolt 3, USB4.0, PCIe, or DP.
- Proven experience in silicon bring-up, debugging, validation, and characterization.
- In-depth understanding of PHY design, architecture, adaptations, and equalization techniques.
- Strong hands-on software programming skills with a focus on embedded systems, with proficiency in C programming.
- Skilled in scripting, preferably in Python, for automating testing and data analysis.
Responsibilities
