Job description

This position is part of Apple's Silicon Technologies group, focusing on the design and manufacturing of next-generation, high-performance processors and system-on-chips (SoCs). The role involves developing software to validate and debug crypto and security blocks within Apple SoCs. You will work closely with various teams to address and resolve SoC issues, ensuring that Apple products can efficiently handle tasks that delight millions of users. The team is looking for candidates at all experience levels, from junior to senior roles.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a BS degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant industry experience in silicon validation software engineering or a related field.
  • Strong interest in low-level and embedded software development.
  • Good understanding of RISC-based computer architecture, memory management units, and coherent cache.
  • Knowledge and skill in C/C++ programming, with experience in ARM assembly being a plus.
  • Experience with secure boot, trusted execution environments, and data encryption.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software to validate various crypto and security IP blocks in Apple SoCs.
  • Work with other teams to bring up and debug SoC issues.
